The fourth season of Stranger Things came to an end a couple of weeks ago, but if you were looking for an excuse to rewatch the entire thing without looking too obsessed, do I have the perfect excuse for you.
As reported by ComicBook, streaming giant Netflix have announced that they’re rolling out spatial audio to all subscribers, so now you can feel like all those creepy noises from the Upside Down are all happening right around you. Fun! A number of great shows and movies are already compatible with the new option, and you can try it right now.

“Often, the subtlety of sound goes unnoticed, but it can have a profound impact on the atmosphere of a scene and fundamentally change the audience’s response,” Netflix wrote in a blog post. “Some of the most iconic moments in TV and film are defined by the immersive moments they create through sound. Without its excellent sound design, would the final fight scene in The Adam Project be as electric? Would Eddie Munson’s epic guitar scene in Stranger Things 4 bring the upside down to life the same way?

ComicBook writes that currently, some compatible titles include Stranger Things, Castlevania, The Witcher, and The Haunting of Bly Manor. As Netflix said, though, to browse everything available (and keep up with new additions) all you need to do is search for ‘spatial audio’ in the platform’s search bar. Happy watching (and listening).
