Ghost Of Tsushima hailed as 'actual masterpiece', and we'd have to agree

Ghost Of Tsushima is one of the best PlayStation games ever made, and fans agree, calling it an “actual masterpiece” everyone should play.

According to a recent earnings call from Sony, 2024 is looking like a pretty bleak year for new games. It’s said there’ll be a lack of major PlayStation games, leading to speculation Sony is pouring everything into the development of the PlayStation 6, which could have a very controversial killer app. This unfortunately implies that we won’t be getting a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Ghost Of Tsushima anytime soon, arguably one of the best PlayStation exclusives.

Fans will undoubtedly be disappointed. After all, Ghost Of Tsushima is a perfect example of what current-gen gaming should be, with a fantastic open world, compelling narrative, and exhilarating combat.

One new player recently played the game for the first time, saying they had no knowledge of the game prior to booting it up, and unsurprisingly they absolutely loved it. The user said: “I went into Ghost of Tsushima blind. It's an actual masterpiece.”

Other players gathered and agreed, many of whom said it’s quite literally a perfect game, and one of the best games PlayStation has to offer even though it’s often overshadowed by franchises like God Of War and The Last Of Us.

“Definitely one of, if not my favourite game ever," said one fan. “Can’t wait for Part 2. Definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played," added another.

Fellow commenters wrote: “Probably my most enjoyed open world game. It helped it wasn't bloated with content; had just the right amount not to overstay its welcome or be overwhelming," and, “Everything built into the world and the random encounters with small enemy patrols were fun, especially when you are underleveled.”

If Ghost Of Tsushima is as good as it is originally as a PS4 game, one can only imagine the masterpiece that’s being cooked up for new-gen consoles with Ghost Of Tsushima 2.
