Little Nightmares is getting a PS5 remaster

As hyped as we are for Little Nightmares 3, we can’t help but be more excited about the prospect of getting a PS5 remaster of the original game.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Little Nightmares is a fabulous experience, filled with atmospheric moments that will surely send a shiver down your spine. Twisted faces, menacing monsters, and Six’s hunger all come together to create an adventure that stays with you long after it finishes.

Since its release, the franchise has proven so successful that a third instalment has officially been announced. Having witnessed Six’s origins in Little Nightmares 2, we’re eager to see what has become of her since her experiences on The Maw. That being said, while we want to dive into a new tale, the past keeps calling us back, with the promise of an enhanced remaster all too enticing.

There’s been no official announcement from the devs or publishers yet about this PS5 remaster, but the Entertainment Software Rating Board, aka the ESRB, have seemingly confirmed that Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition is real, according to Gematsu.

It reported that only a description of the title was given, one that’ll likely be familiar to fans: “This is an adventure platformer in which players assume the role of a girl (Six) who must escape a nightmarish world. As players traverse the environment, they run, jump, climb, and sneak around to avoid enemies (e.g., leaches, large human-like creatures).”

Unfortunately, when we attempted to visit the game’s page, we got an error saying the page couldn’t be reached.

Despite nothing new being given away from the description, given the fact that it’s a remaster, we anticipate DLC will be included and maybe a few extra perks. Nonetheless, until its official announcement, we can only guess at what those extras will be, though we suspect they’ll be fantastic, much like the base game.
