New details emerge for the PlayStation 5 Pro, it's an absolute beast

It seems that the PlayStation 5 Pro will be a beast!

Sony hasn't officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro yet but we all know it’s on the way at some point in the near future.

Since the launch of the original PlayStation in the mid-90s, Sony has released at least one revised version of a console for that particular generation. However, following the release of the PlayStation 4 in 2013, Sony graced us with the PlayStation 4 Pro in 2016 which boasted an improved resolution and framerate for supported games.

Check out the new slim PlayStation 5 below!

Sony has already released a revised version of the PlayStation 5 dubbed the “PS5 Slim” which is not only smaller in size but also has a slightly increased storage boost, which is always nice. Yet, given the arrival of the PS4 Pro in 2016 it should come as no surprise that we’ll eventually get a PS5 Pro at some point too which is rumoured to arrive this year.

Now, a new batch of details has seemingly leaked courtesy of an exclusive report from Insider Gaming, which seemingly confirms the PlayStation 5 Pro will be an absolute beast, to say the least. The heavily rumoured PS5 Pro has reportedly been given the codename ‘Trinity Enhanced’ by Sony in-house, a similar codename that was apparently given to the PS4 Pro before its release.

The PlayStation 5 Pro will reportedly benefit from a RAM increase of 28%, and a GPU increase of 67%, making the rumoured Pro console run approximately 45% faster than its predecessor. In a nutshell, Sony aims for the PS5 Pro to increase the resolution of titles that have a fixed resolution on the current model, a constant 60 frames per second as well as added (or increased) ray tracing effects.

Of course, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise no matter how reliable a source may be. That being said, we’re sure it’s only a matter of time until Sony makes the official announcement.
