A PlayStation exclusive is finally making its way to Xbox, after an unfortunate delay, and no we don’t mean Baldur’s Gate 3.

After months of delays, the temporary PlayStation-exclusive Solar Ash will finally find its place on Xbox consoles, arriving later this month.

Solar Ash is a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Hyper Light Drifter, made by Heart Machine. Players will explore the long-abandoned ruins of ancient civilizations as Rei, a Voidrunner on a quest to save her planet from the destructive Ultravoid.

It’s a rogue-like that’ll see you take on hordes of creatures, grapple and grind to explore the environment and take on incredible boss battles in a highly stylised adventure.

The game was first announced to be joining the Xbox line-up last year, but when it missed its Winter deadline, fans became worried that the game wouldn’t be coming out at all, and the silence from Heart Machine on the release didn’t help either.

Fortunately, the developers bounced back with an announcement that Solar Ash will be coming to Xbox after all on 6 September, and even better, it’ll be on Xbox Game Pass.

Solar Ash actually isn’t the only title that’s faced painful delays for its Xbox port. Xbox fans are still waiting for an update on one of the biggest RPGs of the year, Baldur’s Gate 3.

This was also a title that was supposed to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the same time, but due to issues making the game work on the Xbox Series S, as well as Microsoft’s parity agreement for its consoles, the game had to be delayed.

Luckily, a workaround has been found and Baldur’s Gate 3 will arrive on Xbox Series X/S later this year, though a concrete release date hasn’t been given as of yet.

As for Solar Ash, the title can be played right now on PlayStation 4/5 and will be available on Xbox Series X/S on 14 September.
