Shroud doesn't think Call Of Duty players 'can handle' new free FPS

The Twitch personality and content creator, Shroud, has made some comments about the Call of Duty fanbase that has many players hot under the collar.

In a recent stream Shroud was clipped saying that he doesn’t believe Call of Duty players could handle The Finals, a new arena shooter that requires a lot of teamwork and tactics to succeed. His comments that The Finals is “too much” for the average “COD brain” hasn’t gone down well with those exact same players.

The Finals is taking the world by storm

The Finals is doing brilliantly with players and viewers on Twitch and YouTube as a bombastic shooter that pits teams against each other to pull off heists. Shroud, an ex-pro player of CS:GO has been playing the game recently and noticed that players aren’t quick to team up and secure the win.

His comments are more on the differences between the two games. Call of Duty, particularly its Warzone component is fast-paced and plays very differently from The Finals which takes place in a much smaller area. Call of Duty, while it can be tactical at a high level, it’s often run-and-gun action played on instinct.

Shroud goes on to comment that teamwork is essential saying that one player can do a lot of damage, but that isn’t all that’s required in The Finals. Success is seen in teams who communicate and work together fluidly. To be honest, both games benefit from players who can think on their feet and have great gunplay skills. Of course, in a perfect world, everyone would be on voice comms and working together, but that’s just not how modern gaming works.

While this comment may anger many, it seems like Shroud is commenting more on how he would prefer everyone to play together seamlessly and openly and perhaps more on how Call of Duty has lost its tactical touch.
