Xbox Series X players are finally getting the PS5's best-rated exclusive

In a time where exclusive doesn’t really mean exclusive, one PlayStation 5 title is heading to Xbox Series consoles before the end of the year.

We all know how heartbreaking it is to see exclusive games heading to platforms we have no access to. In recent days, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans have gone to extreme lengths to play the new PlayStation 5 release, even going as far as to ‘running’ it on the PlayStation 4. However, with many Sony exclusives only needing to be exclusive for the first six months, Xbox fans only need to hold on a bit longer.

Check out the Baldur's Gate 3 launch trailer below!

Luckily, that will be the case for Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 which has been confirmed to be heading to Xbox Series consoles between September-December 2023. Confirmed by the game’s developer, we now know the game will be leaving PS5 exclusivity but we are unsure exactly when it will happen. However, with Baldur’s Gate 3 being the console’s best-rated exclusive of all time, it is definitely worth the wait.

Debuting in September for the PlayStation 5, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a Dungeons & Dragons inspired RPG that takes place in the Forgotten Realms. As the third instalment in the Baldur’s Gate series, it is already being hailed as one of the best video game stories in years and is praised for its exciting turn-based combat, loveable characters and the inclusion of bear sex.

Now heading to the Xbox Series X/S as well as PC and PlayStation 5, we can expect to see the game grow even more in popularity. As a result, we could see Baldur’s Gate 3 reach the top and get crowned game of the year. This wouldn’t be surprising for our very own Ewan Moore who said the game was “so good I kind of want to throw up thinking about it.”
