Call Of Duty: Warzone just annoyed everyone with Verdansk comeback teaser

Call Of Duty: Warzone just annoyed everyone with Verdansk comeback teaser

Warzone fans were trolled into thinking that Verdansk was making a comeback.

It’s edging ever closer. We’re now just a few weeks away from the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, with those who’ve pre-ordered the game gaining early access even sooner. You may have joined in on the beta fun. Since then, Infinity Ward has outlined exactly what’ll change before launch based on fan feedback.

After that, Warzone 2.0 is set to launch 16 November and will take players to a brand new fictional region of Western Asia called Al Mazrah. As excited as we are for a new locale, some fans still can’t let go of the original Warzone’s Verdansk which makes the fact that they were recently trolled into thinking it was making a comeback that much more painful.

Check out the Warzone 2.0 trailer below.

As reported by Charlie Intel, a recent patch brought the Mini Royale playlist back to Warzone and the description read, “Fast-paced Battle Royale in condensed areas of Verdansk.” For the uninitiated, Verdansk was one of Warzone’s original maps but unfortunately, the fan-favourite was replaced by Caldera back in 2021.

Since then, fans have been begging for devs to rotate the two but this is impossible due to a technical problem. This latest update had fans thinking that devs had finally overcome those technicalities but I’m here to tell you the bad news. It’s simply an error. The aforementioned Mini BR Trios mode actually only features Caldera and shouldn’t have included Verdansk in the description. The pain.

Needless to say, fans were annoyed. Reddit user ISuckAtDuels wrote, “I saw it and queued immediately. Imagine my surprise when Caldera loaded,” while BigRose27 added, “As did I. Piece of garbage Caldera loaded up and I swiftly left.”
