Fortnite seemingly set to bring back fan-favourite mobility item following complaints of 'slow' Season 3

Fornite looks set to bring back a fan-favourite mobility item following complaints from players.

Despite being one of the most popular video games on the planet, Fortnite does not shy away from angering its audience.

Epic recently launched Fortnite WILDS and while the new season has, on the whole, gone down rather well, fans aren't happy with the fact that all mobility items have been removed from the game including the ODM, Kinetic Blade, and the recent Web Shooters. According to a leak though, a previous fan-favourite may be returning so that we can once again, zoom away from danger.

Fortnite players have complained that traversing the battle royale map now takes too long due to the absence of mobility items. Attempting to outrun the Storm Circle without one will likely hit on players' health XP, plus mobility items are a fun addition to combat.

Sadly, these mobility items were removed from Chapter 4 Season 3 and fans have been calling for Epic Games to bring them back ASAP. Thankfully, it seems that Fortnite players might be having their wish granted. As reported by Game Rant, dataminers have discovered files that indicate NPCs on the battle royale map will be selling mobility items such as the Grapple Glove. As the name of the item suggests, the Grapple Glove allows players to grapple objects from a distance to pull them into an area at great speed and it can also be used to swing from place to place.

News of the potential return of the Grapple Glove was shared by Twitter user and Fortnite content creator iFireMonkey. “The Grapple Gloves might be returning in the near future due to lootpools being updated to support NPCs selling Grapple Gloves again,” they tweeted.

Of course, this leaked information is by no means official confirmation but at the very least, it’s a promising sign. In related news, the popular Trios mode was recently removed from Fortnite with barely any warning and players were not happy, to say the least. Thankfully, that has now returned.

Fortnite is available now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile.
