Say Hello There To Ewan McGregor's Brand New Obi-Wan Kenobi Beard

What a dashing tache.

Ewan McGregor, eh? What a legend. The actor is of course reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for the upcoming Star Wars series with Disney Plus, and we can't wait to see what's in store. Apparently what's in store, is Kenobi with a new beard look - less Jedi master and a little more hairy biker actually.

Evidently, Kenobi is still on the run from the Empire and those out to stomp out the last of the Jedi across the galaxy. Obi-Wan Kenobi is probably a little worse for wear, if your (sort-of) adoptive brother had betrayed you and made you question everything you knew about the doctrine you followed, you might forget about keeping your beard neat too, right?

Well, that seems to be what's happened to Obi-Wan, as pictures have arisen of the actor growing out his beard for the role. Spotted taking a trip to a motorbike shop, the actor has grown out his facial hair beyond what the old Obi-Wan had and headed into a more gruff styling.

Cycle Garden Motorcycles had the pleasure of hanging out with McGregor as he came by. The photos posted by the shop show the Scotsman hanging out with several staff, and if you weren't aware that he was an A-list name, you might just think he's a random biker dude. It just seems like an awesome little get together, and socially distanced too.

So what's in store for Obi-Wan then? Well, we're not entirely sure. All the new extra bits and pieces from the Star Wars universe are set later in the timeline of events, except Rogue One. From earlier reports, it seems like Obi-Wan might meet a familiar face, Rogue One's Cassian Andor who was part of the team that obtained the Death Star plans. Before that mission though, we're going to see what other missions he'd been sent on as an elite rebel agent, and that will certainly include a run-in with Obi-Wan.

Other fans think that we're going to also see a younger Ashoka Tano, which seems like a pretty good way to tie the character in to the live-action universe again. In any case, we're just excited to see what could be next for our favourite Jedi master - and no, Jar Jar Binks isn't in it. Thanks, Comicbook.
