If you’re looking for a way to pass the time before GTA VI releases, why not try an ultra-modded version of GTA V that’s basically the next best thing?

While the wait for GTA VI is certainly an exciting one, a spanner was thrown into the works when it was suggested the game could be delayed due to development falling behind.

Take a look at the first official trailer for GTA VI below

At the time of writing Rockstar Games hasn’t commented on the potential delay, so for now take those rumours with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless fans are getting nervous, especially those on PC who’ll likely be waiting even longer for a copy of the game on their platform.

Fortunately PC players can do something Xbox and PlayStation players can’t, mod their copy of GTA V for an idea of what the next-generation of Grand Theft Auto gameplay could look like.

The YouTube channel Digital Dreams shared what that could look like with a new video, showcasing GTA V gameplay at 8K resolution with a number of other improvements like raytracing.

It’s without a shadow of a doubt the best GTA V has looked so far, with exceptionally clean visuals and textures combined with some top-notch lighting and reflection effects.

The showcase is even more impressive when you remember the game first came out in 2013, further proving Rockstar games can almost always stand the test of time.

Unfortunately those wanting to recreate the video with their own game won’t find a full list of mods used, but there’s bound to be other sources lurking online that could help you achieve the same effects.

It’s definitely not GTA VI, but given how long we’ll probably be waiting before we can get our hands on the elusive game, these ultra-modded versions of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are all we have for the time being.
